Welcome to Photos By Light website. Photography has always been something we have shared for a long time now. Starting even before we were married, Mike was chosen high school yearbook photographer for his junior and senior years. Later, when we started having children, we started taking pictures for friends and one thing lead to another. We did mostly weddings and sports back then but after relocating to North Carolina in the fall of 1986, photography took a backseat. Now that we are close to retirement, we decided that photography was the natural thing for us to do on in to our retirement years. We are offering wedding, portrait, sports and pet photography, just to name a few. As we get more into this, we plan on offering just about any type of photography that could be offered (we do however reserve the right to refuse certain subject matter). Since we work out of our home, we don't have the high overhead that other photographers have and therefore, our prices are much more reasonable.
